- Zion Early Education Center has been in existance for over 50 years providing a sound educational foundation for early learners. We believe in helping each child develop to his/her fullest socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. We believe that each child is unique, bringing his/her special strengths and interests to any situation. We at Zion strive to provide an atmosphere where children are given opportunities to grow and learn at their own rate.
- In addition to our traditional preschool and kindergarten programs, our school offers an optional extended care program. Children must be enrolled in our preschool program in order to attend Extended Care.
- In compliance with the State of Delaware's school entrance requirement, children must reach the appropriate age by August 31st to enter school in September.
Morning preschool classes meet from 8:30-11:00 a.m. Kindergarten meets daily from 8:30-2:50 p.m. The following classes will be offered for 2008 - 2009:
2 Day 2 Year Olds: This program is offered on Tuesday/Thursday mornings for children who will be 2 years of age by August 31, 2008. Children do not need to be toilet trai ned to attend this class. The yearly cost for this program is $1,298.00 which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $129.80.
3 Day 2 Year Olds: This program is offered on Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings for children who will be 2 years of age by August 31, 2008. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend this class. The yearly cost for this program is $1,543.00, which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $154.30.
5 Day 2 Year Olds: This program is offered Monday through Friday mornings for children who will be 2 years of age by August 31, 2008. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend this class. The yearly cost for this program is $1,971.00 which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $197.10.
2 Day 3 Year Olds: This program is offered on Tuesday/Thursday mornings for children who will be 3 years of age by August 31, 2008. The yearly cost for this program is $1,298.00, which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $129.80.
3 Day 3 Year Olds: This program is offered on Monday/Wednesday/ Friday mornings for children who will be 3 years of age by August 31, 2008. The yearly cost for this program is $1,543.00, which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $154.30.
- 5 Day 3 Year Olds: This program is offered on Monday through Friday mornings for children who will be 3 years of age by August 31, 2008. The yearly cost for this program is $1,971.00 which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $197.10.
- 5 Day 4 Year Olds: This program is offered on Monday through Friday mornings for children who will be 4 years of age by August 31, 2008. The yearly cost for this program is $1,971.00, which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $197.10.
Kindergarten: Kindergarten will meet Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 2:50 pm. Children must be 5 years of age by August 21, 2008. Children currently enrolled in our preschool must have their preschool teacher’s recommendation as to kindergarten readiness. Children not attending our preschool program must successfully complete ChildFind screening and a screening with the school director. The yearly cost for this program is $3,906.00, which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $390.60.
For Preschool Classes Only: A registration fee ($40.00 for the first child enrolled in our school; $30.00 for each subsequent child) is due when the completed registration materials are returned. This fee is not part of the tuition and is non-refundable. The first tuition payment must be received by August 1, 2008 to complete the registration process. This tuition is refundable only if the child moves from New Castle County prior to September 1st and provided that the school receives written notification pr ior to this date.
For Kindergarten Only: A registration fee ($40.00 for the first child enrolled in our school; $30.00 for each subsequent child) and the first tuition payment are due at the time of registration. The registration fee is non-refundable; the first tuition is refundable only if the child is not accepted into our kindergarten program after screening, or if the child moves from New Castle County prior to September 1st and provided that the school receives written notification prior to this date. A non-refundable books and materials fee of $60.00 is due by August 1, 2008.
Extended Care: An optional extended care program is available for students enrolled in our school. Parents may select a full time or part time extended care schedule for their child. The cost for this program is:
1:30 dismissal - $15.00 per day
3:30 dismissal - $21.00 per day
5:30 dismissal - $30.00 per day
7:30 am to 8:30 am- free to students enrolled in Extended Care after 11:00 am. Students not enrolled in Extended Care after 11:00 am - $4.00 per day.
