- Zion Early Education Center has been in existance for over 50 years providing a sound educational foundation for early learners. Our philosophy has always been one that strives to foster the development of each child's fullest potential, socially, emotionally, physically, creatively and intellectually. We believe that each child brings his or her special strengths and interests to any situation; therefore our school is designed to acknowledge, respect and support the uniqueness of each child.
- In addition to our traditional preschool programs, our school offers an optional extended care program. Children must be enrolled in our preschool program in order to attend Extended Care.
- In compliance with the State of Delaware's school entrance requirement, children must reach the appropriate age by August 31st to enter school in September.
Morning preschool classes meet from 8:30-11:00 a.m. The following classes will be offered for 2010 - 2011:
2 Day 2 Year Olds: This program is offered on Tuesday/Thursday mornings for children who will be 2 years of age by August 31, 2010. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend this class. The yearly cost for this program is $1,570.00 which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $157.00.
3 Day 2 Year Olds: This program is offered on Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings for children who will be 2 years of age by August 31, 2010. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend this class. The yearly cost for this program is $1,833.00, which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $183.30.
5 Day 2 Year Olds: This program is offered Monday through Friday mornings for children who will be 2 years of age by August 31, 2010. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend this class. The yearly cost for this program is $2,300.00 which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $230.00.
2 Day 3 Year Olds: This program is offered on Tuesday/Thursday mornings for children who will be 3 years of age by August 31, 2010. The yearly cost for this program is $1,157.00, which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $157.00.
3 Day 3 Year Olds: This program is offered on Monday/Wednesday/ Friday mornings for children who will be 3 years of age by August 31, 2010. The yearly cost for this program is $1,833.00, which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $183.30.
- 5 Day 3 Year Olds: This program is offered on Monday through Friday mornings for children who will be 3 years of age by August 31, 2010. The yearly cost for this program is $2,300.00 which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $230.00.
- 5 Day 4 Year Olds: This program is offered on Monday through Friday mornings for children who will be 4 years of age by August 31, 2010. The yearly cost for this program is $2,300.00, which will be divided into 10 equal payments of $230.00.
For Preschool Classes: A registration fee ($40.00 for the first child enrolled in our school; $30.00 for each subsequent child) is due when the completed registration materials are returned. This fee is not part of the tuition and is non-refundable. The first tuition payment must be received by August 1, 2010 to complete the registration process. This tuition is refundable only if the child moves from New Castle County prior to September 1st and provided that the school receives written notification prior to this date.
Extended Care: : Our school offers an optional extended care program. You may choose to send your child to our morning programs, or you may choose to lengthen your child’s school day by enrolling in either part time or full time extended care.
- Our extended care program runs from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. whenever morning school is in session. Optional 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. dismissals are available for those not needing full day school. Parents provide lunches for children who stay after 11:00. Tuition for this program is as follows:
1:30 dismissal - $16.00 per day
3:30 dismissal - $22.00 per day
5:30 dismissal - $31.00 per day
A non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 per family is due at the time of registration.
Before school care beginning at 7:30 a.m. is also available to our extended care students on the day they stay for aftercare free of charge. The cost for additional days or for students not enrolled in our Extended Care Program is $5.00 a day.
A non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 per family is due to register in this program. This fee is not applicable to preschool/kindergarten or extended care tuition. All extended care payments will be added to your preschool tuition payments. Children may be enrolled in extended care only on days that they are enrolled in the preschool.
Extended Care tuition is based on a permanent schedule. Payment is expected regardless of whether the child actually attends extended care.
